What have you used to lose weight? Do you think jump roping 200 times a day will help you lose weight? What have you stopped eating to lose weight? ;D

I recently started reading a book called The Metabolism Miracle which is a lot like a low carb diet.  I'm excited about what I'm learning and will update everyone in the forum as I experience the results.
Have a great day!

I've done Atkins and it worked really fast (lost over 50lbs in 6 months) but I could never do that again. Now I'm on Weight Watchers and have used that after each of my pregnancies. It definitely works, but I hate dieting! I can't wait to lose all the baby weight and not have to focus on what I'm eating!

1. Exercise.
2. Eat the "right" things, and do so in moderation.

The end. You don't need a magic miracle diet, just common sense.

I used Nutrisystem a few years ago.  It was a great format in teaching me quality control.  It was also a great reminder on what foods and how much of those foods I should be eating.  I took what I learned and implemented it into my daily living and continued to drop the pounds.  Steadily and slowly once I increased my work outs.  Now that it's winter I don't find myself walking or jogging outside as much and I no longer have access to a gym.  Needless to say I had slipped and began eating the wrong foods.  I put 15 lb.s back on and it took my husband's Dr. getting after him to loose for me to snap back into a healthy lifestyle.  I'm back on board again.  Here's the basics that work for my body.  2 servings of fruit per day.  2 servings of veggies, 2 servings of dairy.  2-3 lean meat servings per day. Roughage/I use Kale as it's full of multi nutrients. I eat 7-8 nuts (Almonds or peanuts since I'm allergic to tree nuts) 2-3 times a day.  Sometimes I just throw them in a salad.  Take your weight and divide it in 1/2.  That's how many oz of water you should drink a day.  I drink a bottle before I even begin eating anything and make sure I drink another at any meal time.  Another biggie is to not eat after 7:00.  If I do I'm sure to do some sort of exercise or walking.  No matter what or how cold it is.

I try to avoid bread and sweets. It is so easy to put the weight on and so very hard to take it off.  I need to lose another 25 pounds. :sad1:

I am getting ready to start my diet, I have been on so many but I cannot seem to stick to any of them for long.  This time I am going to try my hardest and I ask for your prayers.

I dont believe in any of the diets. Some people tend to gain weight even if they dont eat much, while others have fun eating all they want and dont gain a single pound. I have seen both kinds of people, and exercise only helps in toning the body, and even if you lose weight exercising, if you stop exercising, you gain it all back! Just eat sensibly and dont overindulge or deny yourself, which then causes overeating. As long as you are healthy, the numbers dont matter

Jump roping is a great aerobic exercise. It is important to have at least 20 minutes of aerobic exercise three times a week, so as long as you are doing it for at least 20 minutes it would be a great form of exercise to lose weight. It is also great for your heart.

The best diet for weight loss is vegan. It's hard to cut meat and meat by-products out of your diet, but there are many health benefits of a vegan diet. Most remarkable is the decrease in cholesterol.

I BELIEVE IF YOU STAY UNDER 1500 CALORIES A DAY YOU WILL LOOSE WEIGHT. EAT WHAT YOU WANT JUST TRY TO WATCH YOUR CALORIE INTAKE. A LITTLE EXERSISE GOES A LONG WAY TOO.

I used to use the Mayo-clinic diet to lose weight.  Twenty pounds in two weeks with the ability to have as much as you wanted to eat at every dinner.  The diet minimizes carbohydrates which I feel really affects the central nervous system and can leave a person feeling emotionally drained to the point of being depressed. I like the diet excercise program put together by Bill Phillips out of Colorado.  In twelve weeks I was able to have the best body I had ever had.  I went from 226 pounds to 183 pounds and from a body fat percentage of 21 percent down to 9%.
