I love gift bags too. I have a very hard time trying to wrap presents some gift bags are a lifesaver!

I hate wrapping presents so I buy boxes with a design on them or use gift bags.

I'm terrible at wrapping so I usually just gift bag. But my BFF loves wrapping paper and complains if I bag a gift instead of wrapping it -- even if the gift isn't for her. I guess growing up, her family was more of a stickler for having the gifts wrapped very prettily under the tree, while I remember dad throwing a blanket over some of the bulkier presents or using newspaper to wrap our presents.

I do think that for young kids, the gifts should be wrapped at least a little bit. Part of the excitement for them is the discovery of what they got; by wrapping the gifts it takes just a little longer to figure out what the gift is by having to unwrap it first. I remember my parents had once wrapped a large box that held a smaller box that held a shoe box that held a ring box wherein I found an ad clipping for a new computer that they had purchased but would pickup later in the week; it was fun going through all those boxes trying to figure out what I was getting.

I like gift wrap but some things just don't wrap right so gift bags are best for them.

I actually do both, if I have several gifts for the same person, I like to wrap them all individually and then put them in a nice gift bag. I enjoy watching them pull out each gift and unwrap it and then go back in for more!

I love to wrap presents instead of bags.  I think bags are just too easy to get into.  I like to watch people struggle to get the ribbons off.  Aren't I a rascal?
