Some people call it "dressing", while others call it "stuffing".  Which do you prefer?  I guess I say it both ways, but "stuffing" is used most often.

Dressing is when it's used as a side dish. Stuffing is when it's actually stuffed inside the turkey.

I always thought dressing was the side dish, while stuffing was put inside the actually turkey.  I always preferred dressing, cornbread dressing and not the breadcrumb dressing.  It has to be homemade, the stove-top version just doesn't cut it for me.
