Did you know that Jesus was not born in December?
« on: December 24, 2011, 01:53:06 am »
This month, I've seen shows indicating that Jesus was not born on Christmas that he was born in March. If this is true, then why was it change to Dec on Christmas? I don't know enough about this & I'm really curious about this. I plan to do more research on this. If any FC members know something about this please enlighten me. Thanks everyone & happy holidays!!!!!! :peace:

Nominally, certain members of the catholic church decided to attempt to obscure the more 'pagan' observance of winter solstice by appropriating that timeframe as a xtian holiday.  Presumably, this was done to facilitate the conversion of 'pagans', (non-xtians), by plagiarizing and altering pre-existing practices, (and this isn't the only instance of this reprehensible xtian pogram).  That said, have a good winter solstice.
One can lead a horse to water however, if one holds the horse's head under, that horse will drown.

It's been tradition for hundreds of years so it's a little late to change it now.  Some churches sing Christmas songs on Easter and Easter songs on Christmas.  That seems to be quite pointless to me.
