My parents. I can't pick between them. They've both done so much for me and have influenced me in different ways. My dad taught me to be brave and strong, and not let the little things in life get to me. My mom taught me to respect others and be happy with myself, no matter what other people think. I love them both so much for making me into the person I am today.

Same here my mom.  My mom passed away this past May and I miss her like crazy.  She was a strong quiet woman who raised three children on her own and I never heard her complain. Family was the most important thing to her and she had a tough life.  I guess Abraham Lincoln said it best " All that I am, or hope to be, I owe to my mother " - I truly feel that way because I hope that I have some of the same character strengths she had" because I truly admired her as not only a person, but as a mom.

My father taught me how to find a job, keep a job and create a job when there is no job.

Jesus, because before Jesus, I was living here and there, homeless half of the time, drinking every day, and doing as I pleased to try to escape reality, but once I knew this wasn't the end and what He did for me, that I had another Father, mine committed suicide when I was 13. I realized there was reason to live, because before I didn't want to.

There have been several people who have had an influence on different parts of my life.  Starting with my parents who taught me ever so much that I cannot begin to list here.  A preacher in El P aso who also happened to be our next door neighbor.  A decon who lived across the street and was the one who gave me my first job.  A principal from a school I never attended.  A College proffesor who taught me that the mhost important question to answer when seeking out historic events is the why and everything else will fall in place.  And of course my children who continue to influence me on a daily basis.
