I honestly believe that it's not really electronics that are the problem, but more so the content that's readily available to them in all media forums. The internet is more "adult" oriented than "kid, educational" oriented. Television is nothing but a pool of filth (Jersey Shore, Toddlers In Tiaras, the 97 shows about Cake, and so on), and it instills a negative influence on today's children. Granted, I'm only 20 and the things I do know about times before the 90s are very limited, but I believe I may also have been born in the wrong era, lol. The current generation is all about instant gratification and more focus is on the "get cash quick" philosophies, so all these kids try to become famous (or in some cases, infamous), at a young age. Many children, (namely teens) see it fashionable to get pregnant at early ages (16 and Pregnant on MTV is to blame for this). People have gotten so used to drama due to today's television content that they feel the need to bring drama into their own lives, and it's a shame. People would rather be famous and get paid obscene amounts of money for doing nothing than to work hard using the talents they have or can learn and don't further themselves as an individual and rather become part of the majority.
