First of all I am sorry to hear about your husband being shocked and I hope that he recovers fully. The only time I was seriously shocked was abou 15 years ago when I worked at McDonalds. I was 17, first job, and told to mop behind the vat fryer It was on wheels and though not light I was able to move it out from the wall to mop the dirt and grease from behind it, until I was significantly shocked. I don't know what the voltage was, but the plug was round and the size of my fist. Apparently when I pulled the fryer away from the wall the plug came slightly out of the socket and when I splashed the mop water it hit the live current and I got hit. I say hit as that is what it felt like. I will probably always recall this. I felt the electricity go up my arm and straight to the center of my chest. It felt like someone punched me in the chest and then it felt like my chest was caving in, very much like what I assume a heart attack might feel like. It was only an instant, but I temporarily fainted and when I came to I was given a free meal and told I had the rest of the night of paid.
Wow what a deal for me. :- I have never been very litigious and the thought of suing never crossed my mind. Not sure if I would have had a case anyway. My chest hurt for the next week at least it seems. I'm lucky and hope your husband is the same.
