Question
« on: July 05, 2011, 09:46:46 pm »
Hi, so I'm guessing everyone knows that you can only use one connection for your account.

I was wondering what if I move and my internet provider changes? Will I be able to continue using my account with this different internet provider as long as no one else in my household uses Fusion Cash?

Hopefully this is the case.

Before hand, thanks everyone for replying!

You may only have one account associated with one computer, isp, household.
However, you may have that same account associated with another computer as long as it is the only account on that computer.

I access FC from more than one computer (my desk top and my laptop).  No problem since no one else uses either computer.  I recently switched ISP's (went from dial-up to cable broadband) and continue to have no problems with FC or any other site I use.

If you move and change ISPs but continue to be the only account with that ISP and presumedly the same computer, you will not have a problem.  But if you left your old computer and/or the old ISP behind (and active) and someone else decided to use it to set up their own FC account on your old pc/isp -- then you would both be in danger of losing your accounts.

I'll be moving in two weeks but will continue to use the same internet provider and same computer - until i get a new one lol.....- at least all I need to do is notify fc of my new address.
End the suffering!  Get your cats - and all strays and ferals - spayed and neutered!

I have moved 4 months back and I am using my same FC account..no issues..you have to just update your new address when you moved to your new address.

I did not know that others could not use your computer what if you let someone use your computer and they checked there fusion cash account using your wifi conection would that be the same ip address?  Some of this in a little confusing.  I personal think if you signed up using your own computer than say you went to the public library and particiapated in your fusion cash account that should be ok as long as you are the only one who signed up with the ip address associated to your account .

I would think the easiest thing to do is contact FC and let them know you're moving so that they're aware of the ISP change.

Thank you, swogden, for this information.  I use a Mac, but some of the offers are not compatible with Macs, for instance downloading some games that require Windows.  I have run into this problem before, and since the Mac store did not recommend putting Windows on my Mac, I bought a small Windows notebook computer to use when I needed windows. But, trying to follow the rules here, I was afraid to try logging in to FC with a different computer.  With your info, I will now try to use my notebook when needed for Windows offers.  I am the only only one who uses these computers except for when my grandchildren are here and want to go to their own sites!  (not FC)  Am I interpreting all this correctly?
