yes...she belonged to an abusive owner before she was "given" to me.  They obviously didn't feed her, she was just a little bag of bones and it was hard to tell that she was a yellow lab...her coat and skin was a mess.  The vet said a few more days and she wouldn't have survived.  She had burns on her legs and inside her mouth where the dude had gotten drunk and tied her legs together with an electrical cord that he had plugged into a socket.  As she started to chew and got burned, he would howl with laughter along with his drunken son---apparently this was entertainment for them.  This dog had a "guardian angel" watching over her and she guided this dog to me (said it was a "stray"  :-X) , she knew I had been wanting a yellow lab.

The dog is so sweet and so good, she's gotten alot better about losing her fear of things.  We'll be turning on some loud doggie relaxation cd's, using some relaxing aromatherapy, I bought her a few new toys and made her some treats....par-tay!!   ;D

It is storming here...
We grilled yesterday and hung by the pool.
Today we just went to a local roadside bbq place.
No plans given the weather... Just gonna catch up on online stuff!
