My church organization have a website that I donate to and they always have a fund set up with the different places in the country and the world that need help. I trust them more than donating to the Red Cross or anywhere else. When New Orleans got flooded, the Red Cross got millions donated, but did not spend all those funds for New Orleans. They will even tell you that all donations get put in a general fund and a board decides what percentage of donations go where. If I'm donating to a specific cause, I want my money to go there and nowhere else.
