SUCCESS - How do we get it?

Is Success judged through the eyes of others? Is it living big & wide even if we are unhappy?
Or just being satisfied with life, whether it is on the mountain top deep in the woods
or in the pent house with many lovers, fine cars, working everyday waiting for the week end?

I used to think it was keeping up with the Jones'.  Since learned different.

I believe you must first decide what your success shouldf be for you. Then do not let anyone deter you from it. It must become your full time occupation. However, remember, achieving your success will not insure happiness.

Success can be defined in so many different ways. It doesn't necessarily mean living large. You can be the poorest person in the world and still be successful. It's all about your attitude, the way you look at life, and the way you handle other people. You could have all the money in the world but without love in your life that money would mean nothing.

I think success is happiness, you can have it all and not be happy. Their is only One that can make us happy.

      Life is what you make it and what you make it is up to you! Many people work very hard and get nowhere...others barely work and make a fortune. So do whatever makes you happy!

it is measured by who you are INSIDE and not for the amount of toys you have, because......you can't take it with you!

It's obvious here that no one really believes in a 'one way successful life' idea. Rich or poor, doesn't matter.

And I agree. Success of what? A career? Having a family? Having relationships? There's so many things to be successful in life with. But does any of it matter? Hm, another topic. Whatever you want to be successful in, I think you could go for it. Why shouldn't you?

I think being successful through the eyes of society is a big factor and it's one that impacts what we think is successful, personally. Since money is a high factor, we may want to get rich. Since being famous is seen as successful, we may want to be the next hot celebrity. Etc. etc.

Success is a different meaning to most people.  Some, success is an enormous amount of wealth, some, success is a loving family.  Some, success  is celebrated in little stages, some never see success because they can't be satisified with what the Lord has given them.  Me, I look forward to the success of meeting the Lord and entering Heaven.  That's my lifetime goal.

I think success depends on each individual according to their lifestyle as a child, their beliefs, and the people they have around them. To me, success will be finding a job, starting a family with my husband, and being happy with where we choose to settle down to be with our family and friends. I know others who are more career-minded think getting to be the top CEO of a company or becoming their own boss means success, while others just want to be able to provide for their family even if its minimal. It is all relative and dependant on the individual.

i dont know where success comes from but i wish it would come my way soon or im going to be living out on the streets

You have to get success by working hard. If you do not work hard at things you will not be successful. THat is how you gain success.
