GoDaddy isn't bad, but everything is really cluttered and poorly laid out.  DreamHost is a good one that's easy to use.

As long as you don't want Wordpress, get a hosting account with AngryHosting.com for $1 a month, then find a free template to create your own site from. Find me on another website and I can help you. In fact search Google for my user name and you can see an example of what you can do.

If you don't know html or don't want to pay someone to design one for you you can get started on some of the free sites.  Try webs.com, Yola, Weebly, Blinkweb, or wix.  You just pick a template and fill in the info.

I don't want to mention the name here because I value my membership, but the PTC that was just launched by Brian Rooney has a section in it where you can buy the script and set up your own, however, I agree with Tom, too many people set these up with no clue of what they are doing and then they never pay out.  Just google Brian's name or mine and I think I can help.  At least I can help you find the script, not that I can help you start a PTC site. lol

I have used GoDaddy and found the process of setting up a website to be extremely easy but somewhat pricey...much less expensive than having a site designer do it for you. They have several plans to meet the needs of what your online presence needs to be.  I think that if you are just doing something for the fun of it that Facebook provides a good option. MSN also provides a good one page option.

Before you get to excited about creating a free website, stop and think about the image you will portray. Look at me, I have a website to show you how to make money, but I'm not making enough to pay a few bucks a month, so I have to use a FREE ONE. The absolute simplest way to get a website to show others how you make money is to get an inexpensive hosting account that has Cpanel which includes Fantastico and in a couple of clicks you can set up Wordpress. I focus on the United States, so I bought a domain to set mine up for US Click Ads and it pays off with a steady stream of referrals to all my programs. It's also #1 on Google.

I am the Webmaaster for my church and I have up 5 websites. I like yola.  It is very simple but makes very clear, detailed sites. Plus its free to set it up. You only pay if you want your own domain name. If your not worried about the domain, then you can ahve it free.
