Suggestion for forum posts
« on: March 08, 2011, 03:23:40 pm »
I love what you've done with the credited offers!

I have a suggestion for posts. I would like it better if the most recent post was first. What I mean is show the posts the opposite of how you do now. Now you show the original post and then all future posts to it in the order it was posted. I'm suggesting posting the most recent post first then going backwards to the original post. (I hope this isn't too confusing!!)

I understand what you're saying but I don't really ever recall seeing any other forums do it that way.  :dontknow: Maybe twitter. Seems easy enough to just jump to the end if you want to.

i agree with you - i don't find it difficult to jump to the end.  I can frequently use the next page feature type of thing.

I like that the messages start with the first as that way i can "follow" the conversation in a chronological order and not read the most recent and be confused as to what is being discussed

Yeah I agree, and think its best the way it is, especially since you'd probably want to see the OP before you read any replies/reply yourself

I have seen a forum which they post the newest comment first, and it can be pretty confusing.  I usually read through the whole thing anyway so I don't repeat a comment.  I like the OP first.

Yea I'm not to big on the newest first as people would just be jumping in on a topic when they could see beforehand exactly what it is about, what has been said etc. Manually going to the newest post isn't too time consuming.

I've noticed that a lot of members do that anyway.....jump in on a topic by responding to the original post without reading all the way through the thread, and by the time they post everything has changed.
