TEA PARTY - What do you think?
« on: January 20, 2011, 05:20:11 pm »
Please don't be hostile. I am the tea party. I am a hard working, tax paying, 60+ yr old person, in business for myself. Never been on welfare, or food stamps, or even unemployment. Raised 5 children alone  and it was hell at times, but today they are all doing well. I am not angry, but grateful to be able to stand firm in a 'free country' to say stop the government take over. Again, I am not wanting to make anyone mad, can we not come together to try to understand one another?  We are not only the architects of our own structures, but we must lay the bricks ourselves... the optimist is often as wrong as the pessimist but has a lot more fun. Let's be nice and talk like adults. :bs:

I think that the tea party is just the right wing side of the republicans trying to stop obama from taxing us and not puting there names on it

I think the more parties we have, the more choices we have to choose from, but it always seems like either the democrats or the republicans always gets elected.   :peace:

I use to be Republican, I consider myself now independent. I assure you there are more independents in Tea Party than Republicans. Many of these folks are Democrat who are sick of the government take over. that is truly what we are about. I am upset with Republicans too that they have set by
and allowed all this to happen. thanks for the reply.

and I agree. It seems to me the two main parties have pushed everyone out so they can control and that is what they have done.. controlled us almost to a point of no return. and now we are at a place that if we do not stand up together - America will be no more. thanks

I'm the tea party also.....

glad to see another tea party person. what is your opinion of the tea party?
a arm of Republican Party or? ??? I would be interested in knowing. I have heard that
opinion expressed before, that we are just a part of the Republican Party, but I don't
feel that way.

Many Tea Partiers seem to be on the far right fringe of the Republican party.  They take Glenn Beck seriously and honestly believe Obama is a socialist.  A lot of Tea Part rhetoric seems to be driven by flat-out racism.

if you're a tea party then you might be interested in reading this
this is a conservative blog for the tea party

For me I am not a tea party and I really think Obama can do something good if he has the chance because he is a well educated person and smart and I can't see him taking a fare chance. it took eight years from Bush to destroy the economy and we ask Obama to fix it in 2 years with no support I don't think this is fare usually it takes more time to fix than the time you spend in destroying
I dunno I didn't elect Obama but this is what I really think

I too am a Tea Party person and I want the government out of my life.  We are going to go bankrupt if the spending isn't stopped.

i'm all for the tea party.  it's about time there is some signifacant resistance to big government control.  i believe most of the candidates they promoted in the last election were running republican, but that party as a whole has accomplished so little and often contributed to the burgeoning government.  i'd like to see the day when the tea party gets big and strong enough to break off from the republicans and become a true 3rd party.  let's keep up the pressure.
