At what age is it appropriate to start dating?

Well I started dating when I was 16 and my curfew was 10pm.I think that is the best age to start dating.Some people started dating at like 14 and 15.At that age I had to have a chaperone. At what age do you feel teens should date?When did you first start dating.I think usually the guys have it alot more lenient than girls do as far as dating and curfew too.

I think middle school-age with a chaperon is best.  That way they can learn the ropes, and girls especially won't be so naive that they're easily taken advantage of by older teens.

I think 16 is an appropriate age to start dating.

I think at 14 with a chaperone would be ok to just go out to a movie or something, but not officially ready to start dating yet. In my opinion the most appropriate age to start dating would be 15, 16.

It really depends on the maturity of the person.  I would not let a "boy crazy" 16 year old date without a chaperon. However, I've seen some 14 and 15 year olds that have more insight and maturity than some 20 year olds.  Some civilizations consider their children at 12 and 13 legal age to be considered as men and women....lol

It really does depend on the parent as they are a better judge of their children's character than anyone else.

I waited till I was 17 which seems to have worked out well.  I have a teenage daughter that I have told 31 is appropriate but I don't think that is going to work very well.  At 17 High School dances come in to play.  Kids have gotten jobs to pay for some of their expenses and have started to get a taste of responsibility.  If dating occurs at an earlier age a chaperone should be present.

I believe sixteen is the appropriate age to dating anything less is inappropriate.

i think it depends on the person. But the earliest I think you should start dating is 16.

I'd say 17. It's also based on the maturity level of an individual.
