What will become of us when movies loose their shine?
« on: January 27, 2011, 04:13:06 am »
i have noticed as of late and i dont seem to do that a lot.
Movies aren't popping up as good as they use to, what with reality television and people making everything about their lives i was wondering what would happen if Movies became a thing of the past.

What would we do to entertain ourselves?

I was wondering what everyone thought of this so i just wanted someones opinion

hope to hear what everyone thinks

I watch movies on tv and online rarely.  I don't go out of my way to watch them.  I have not been in a first run movie theater in about 5 years because it's way too expensive.  I'd rather wait until it come out on regular tv.  I used to only go to dollar movies if I went to theaters at all and the one I used to go to shut down about two years ago so that was the last time I went to the dollar movies and saw a movie in a theater.  I used to have a Blockbuster membership but stopped with that about three years ago.  If I rent movies now I use Redbox because I get codes for free movies.  I really don't care too much about movies and if they stopped making them all together I would not shed a tear.

I don't think that movies will ever lose their shine as they seem to constantly evolve with the human race and it's seemingly infinite capacity for imagination and creativity as well as the tremendous spped at which technology and computer imagination is moving.  There is no doubt that we would survive, if movies lost their shine, because our species started without movies.  The written word, internet, and social interaction will always be an outlet that we can fall back on.

I have not visited the cinema in many years. I don’t remember the last movie I saw. I practically can live without them. There are no high quality movies that would hardly make me want to pay over $10.00 and go home with a positive impression.
