Bizarre Foods
« on: December 21, 2010, 09:49:39 am »
Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern, is a television series airing on the travel channel. On this show, the host travels around the world and tries the many different things people eat such as lamb, insects, rotten shark, bats, snakes, iguana, octopus ice cream, and even mayonnaise milkshake. Some more bizarre than others. Out of the many things he has eaten, durian, a fruit, is one thing he cannot.

Have you seen this show? What do you think about it?
Have you tried the Durian fruit?

I saw that episode when he tried to eat the Durian fruit. It has to be pretty bad if Andrew can't eat it. I watch the show now and then but some of the things he eats just turns my stomach and I have to change the channel. I think of myself as an adventurous eater, but not quite THAT adventurous.

After I seen an episode on food network where they eat chocolate covered scorpions and bugs, nothing can top that to me.

Yes I've had durian and it's not that bad.  Tastes a little oniony to me.  It tastes better cold.

i have seen this show.
we like to watch it, but there are definately things that I would not wish to try to eat; however, I do have an appreciation for learning about different culturals and their food habits, etc

I like to eat croutons like others like chips or popcorn.  during a movie or the game.  It's the best snack ever.
