If you haven't taken out a loan yet - DON'T DO IT!  I am only 20 and I've gotten a little over $7,000 in debt - things that I didn't need but wanted and I have low patience.  Save you money for things - in a year I probably paid $1,000 in interest for ONE company - that's like working 135 hours at a minimum wage job for free - no thanks.  I have learned my lesson and am slowly trying to pay my debt off so I can live peacefully (and worry free).  When I have no debt, I plan on having family day every Saturday (I can't even afford to do anything with my son because all my extra money goes towards my bills).  I also plan to save up a years worth of bills so if my boyfriend and I ever lose our jobs we will be prepared!  It just makes me sad to see all of the interest I've paid.  Never again........

Yep! I totally agree with you, not unless its a life or death situation will I  take out any type of regular loan, or a student loan AGAIN!   

Next to medical bills and Credit card debt- worst debt EVER!!!!

I went to a community college. Total student loans around $17,000 after intrest I will pay over $40,000  ITS NUTS I WENT TO A COMMUNITY SCHOOL FOR A REASON!!!!
