My wife and I went to her mother's house and spent time with the family. We had lots of food, and I got so stuffed I could barely move!

I ate waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much but I think most of us probably did. We smoked a turkey & smoked our homemade cornbread dressing in the BBQ pit. With it, we had sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce and cheese pie with pomegranite topping. I also tried a friend's Chess Pie recipe which was very good. I think it's about time to go to bed & sleep it all off!

Went to sister-n-laws.  Was bummed because nother was traditional except maybe the turkey.  She is from a different country and tends to be more creative the me and changes up the recipes......Not always for the good.  However, I was thankful that I did not have to cook so that was very nice.

;D Happy Thanksgiving to all ! I had a very enjoyable time yesterday. I went to my sons house and took them some groceries. While I was there my stepdaughter came up ( whom I haven't seen in about 6 years) since my divorce. She brought her 2 year old daughter for me to see. She said that she wanted me to meet my grand-daughter. Well, I don't have to tell you how proud that made me feel. She told me that no matter what happened between me and her father; she would always consider me to be her Mom. I don't think I have ever cried harder. I have been so blessed and I am so very THANKFUL. What a wonderful way to start the holiday season to find out that you are a GRANDMA of a precious little girl. Don't misunderstand me though; I love all of them but none of my boys are married. I hope you had a great day! :peace:

I spent Monday cooking and finished on Wednesday and ate that day too.  I work at Walmart and have always worked on Thanksgiving day, so have to have family over when I am off.  Had a wonderful time.  Ate way too much but enjoyed the family being together..   I have so much to be thankful for.  So many people in other countries are in need.   God has really blessed us here, and may he always do so.
