I'm not much of a joiner.  I have a tendency to sit back and take everything in, and then I'm very careful about how I act and speak around people, no matter how long I've known them.  I have a hard time with trust... its so much easier online, because there is a certain level of anonymity online, so you can just let it all hang out... no one cares, and you won't be in any uncomfortable F2F situations with people you spill to online.  My in laws take issue with my wallflower persona, though.  I have a hard time being the center of attention... but, when I have something to say, I don't hold back.

Plus, I'm flippantly sarcastic... to the point that sometimes I'll say something, and that will stick out in someone's mind more than the really serious things I'll say.  For example, the first holiday I spent with my in laws, my mother in law got a bit tipsy and was all emotional and asked me if I loved her son.  My response: "eh, he'll do."  A few minutes later, I said to her that I couldn't imagine loving anyone more, that is, until I had his child.  What did she remember?  "eh, he'll do."  Created some serious problems for awhile... and four years later, we're still trying to get past it.

I tend to think way outside of the box, which I guess isn't too different since most creative/artistic people do think outside the box. Anyway, I also do not bend to the expectations of society. It may sound strange saying that, but I don't care what's popular or what everyone else is doing or what they think. I do or don't do what I do because of my own reasons. I think that's a rare trait these days. I don't take what people say very seriously in some aspects. Example, all the political commercials out there. Lots of people say well the commercial said this so it must be true instead of doing the research and making up your own mind.

Another think I do differently than most is that I do Everything with myright hand except cut with a knife. I do that with my left and I have yet to figure out why. I also wear toe socks with crazy designs no matter what shoes I'm wearing (unless of course they're nice sandals, but I even wear toe socks with flip-flops sometimes).
