candy machine business

I been thinking about starting a candy machine business for a few months now. I just don't know where to get the machines or how to get started. Maybe, I could get the machines from craigslist or ebay. Then, I guess I could get a permission from stores or restaurants in my area to set up the machines. What do you guys think?

I lost a lot of money doing candy/snacks and drink machines some years ago.  It's very difficult to compete with the big corporations.

Yeah, you're most likely right. There is much better things inside the stores these days like Redbox and lottery machines. So, who would want candy anyways? I guess, the kids do LOL.

I myself have owned a vending company for the last 25 years in a rural area but business was great, it was an excellent thriving business for years and made me a very good living.  The major industry here is tourism so the opportunity did not exist there for money.  However we had an Air Force Base which employed thousands of civil service employees along with just several smaller factories and business boomed just from these accounts.  Then they close the Air Force Base down to like 600 employess then 300 and the other 2 auto factories went down when recession hit in 2008, and my business went down right along with them.  I sold out for pennies on the dollar, fortunately I was financially prepared whether it would have been due to any other reason be it medical purposes which I should have been for the income I recieved for the last 25 years or so.  Howver if a person went into vending business here in town they would fold, guaranteed.
