The new tlc show sisterwives just blows my mind! 4 wives?! noway would i ever share my husband, gross.

I started watching it after a friend on Facebook mentioned it.  I've already watched 4 seasons of Big Love, so Sister Wives didn't surprise me.  I don't think there's anything wrong with the lifestyle if that's what consenting adults want to do; however, most (if not all) of the time, polygamy is due to crackpot religious beliefs, and that's the part I don't agree with.  I also strongly disapprove of the number of kids these types of relationships ultimately produce...religious polygamy only makes overpopulation a vicious cycle.

When did polygamy become legal and right?

Well of course the dude isn't actually married to the 3 other gals; they just live like they are and had a nice ceremony and such.  I don't see how they're breaking anything from a legal standpoint if "normal" couples can engage in open relationships, adultery in not a criminal offense, etc.?

This generation of today are so open on things that are not right and/or legal, but they rationalize it to make it seem and appear right.  And the tv people use this to their advantage to say it's "okay to do what you want."

"The generation of today"?  Uh-uh honey, this is not a secular issue.  Polygamy is mainly engaged in by religious people.  It IS okay to do what you want, so long as you're not infringing upon the rights of others, which polygamy doesn't.

polygamy may be wrong to you. but if someone else favors it, they should be able to be happy as long as they don't hurt anyone else in the process. people may believe it was god's intentions for us to reproduce and flourish and that's the best way, or they may have other reasons, but who are yout to decide if they are wrong? you can't say it's wrong by god, because we don't know anything about god, except for what MEN interpreted. so we can't say what god intended, whether you believe you can or not.
