Sorry don't have any kiddos in school but to be fair it all depends on the grade, public/private etc etc.

Approximately $50 on school supplies (we were lucky and had a lot of things already around the house) and about $85 on clothes, shoes (thank goodness for hand downs and clothing banks - we are out of work and have 6 kids they learn to make do without the latest fads.)

Don't have kids at home, but never remember my parents spent that much on school supplies when we went back to school.

I spent roughly $130.00 on just school supplies.  We even recycled some from last year. Now clothes and shoes on the other hand were a lot more expensive.  We spend anywhere from $1200 to $2000.00 on school shoes and clothes, some of this includes stuff for sports activities.  Then there is the money spent on gettin eye exams, physicals for sports and getting teeth cleaned and braces on or off or adjusted which roughly came up to well $3500.00  So I spend about as much getting them ready for school as I do for one year and 3 months of car payments.

I spent about $40 and then was told that all supplies were being donated to the school, so I didn't even have to buy them. Wish I would have known before I bought them, but it was stuff we can use at home, so not all was lost! Lol!
That which can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence.

You can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into in the first place.
