Married couple's date night!
« on: August 27, 2010, 12:34:01 pm »
My husband and I are having "date night" tonight. We're going someplace nice to eat and then maybe to a movie. What do any of you married people do for dates or to keep spice in your marriage?

Well lately we don't have any date anythings lol stress is taking a toll on our relationship. Hopefully we can get it all back :(

Maybe we can do a movie this week end hmmm.. that sounds nice. We usually don't do things alone.. well you know wat i mean. Usually we do things as a family like movies wt nachos and all sorts of crap lol to eat... go for walks and such but not so much as a couple I hate leaving my kids home alone. They are kinda old enough but I wouldn't enjoy my self.

We usually just do dinner and a movie. My hubby gets free movie tickets from work and we don't have a lot of extra money for fun stuff, but with 3 children it's nice to get out and do ANYTHING! lol

Haha! Thanks for the first part. My mission is to take my hubby to Washington D.C.. He's a Marine, and has never been there. I have and really enjoyed it, so I want him to have the chance also. We live in N.C., so it's not too far away right now!

We don't have kids yet, but I imagine that plays a big part in what you do as a couple, as well as what you do with the whole family. Still, you should make some time for just the two of you. Movies are always a good time. (Unless the movie really isn't good!)  ;D

We usually also hit the movies  ;D. We enjoy spending time together, as it reminds us of the time we were dating . We get a chance to unwind and talk to one another about what is going on in our outisde life (work, home, etc) during dinner. I hope you enjoy your outing together. Just remember that the film be a romantic or comedy .

Yeah, I walked out of a movie on our anniversary one time. I kept telling my hubby that I was really offended by the stuff they were showing and he just kept saying "oh, I'm sorry babe." Finally I got up and left and went and sat in the lobby and about 20 mins later he came out LOL. That anniversary did NOT end in romance.

If you ever seen High Voltage (the second one I think) then you know what I'm talking about LOL.

That happens to us sometimes, too. My hubby and I went to Redbox to pick out a movie. We found one that was about a boxer. (It sort of looked like "Million Dollar Baby.") We got it home and put it in. I'm not over exaggerating at all--between EVERY scene in the movie there were naked girls and/or strippers. We fast forwarded it, thinking it might've just been that one scene, but nope. It's hard to pick a movie when all they say is "Rated R," but they don't tell you why it's rated that way! I appreciate the honest ones that say "Rated R for violence and nudity." Ok, thanks! Now I know not to get that one!

Agree specially when u have teens. I sometimes get so embarrassed wt some of the explicit scenes in some movies. ughhh... So I always check what it's rate R for :)

My favorite date nights involve cuddling up on the couch with a bottle of wine and some good food. Don't get me wrong, I love going out too, but there's just something about relaxing at home with your sweety!

Well lol..umm since my daughter we have never left the house for a date night we have always been with our kids for 14 years so our date night is every night when kids go to bed we sit out by our fire pit and talk and laugh and when they are in school we watch movies or go for lunch when he is home he works nights so he sleeps during the day unless he has two consecutive days off lol

Our date went pretty good last night. We went to Applebee's, which was pretty yummy! The server forgot our appetizer, but we were so into talking, we didn't even notice! It looks like movies at home on the couch tonight!  :)
