Use of social sites

I'm on Facebook and as Jorhea said, I've reconnected to many people.  I also set up a Twitter page but I'm still trying to figure out what's it for.  That one I don't get.

Went over my head too...When you figure it out let me know OK?

How much time does everyone spend using social sites? Is there a way to get involved if you have no known friends on them?

The idea of social networking is to meet new people too. I spend maybe.. phew.. 10 hours a week on sites like Facebook?

I only get on Facebook about twice a week.  I keep up with the kids and grandkids that way.  It's basically my online photo album.

I am a faithful user of Facebook. I thought that I wouldn't find too many people on there besides for the couple of people that told me about the site. To my surprise, when I entered the high school and college I attended people I know and hadn't seen in years started popping up. Now everytime I'm on the site someone new signs up.

I use it once in a while, but I prefer talking in person or on the phone.  To me, it is a way to catch up with long lost friends or communicate with people that you usually do not talk to much.  You have to be careful about what you are posting!!

Social Network Websites are a tool and like any tool, you need to learn not to hit your thumb.

I love the Facebook social site.  They keep you connected with friends, family and meeting new friends.  They have a lot of other events on the site.  I also use twitter, but only for business opportunities.

I use facebook from time to time.  I don't go out of my way to find people, but it's cool when someone from your past finds you.

I guess you would say I am a myspace and facebook addict I spend all my free time there playing games and I started out with people I did not know and then a few known friends joined me and now I have been lucky enough to meet a few of my fellow game players from there..Lately I am at facebook more but only cause I am addicted to to many games there LMAO..

I think they are a waste of time and you never know who is on them.  I'd rather make money.
