Bad Back!

My husband has been down in his back for several weeks. I have never seem him in that much pain in the 38 years we been married. He went to see a surg, today and they want to put a shot in his spin but can't until he is off of one of his meds for 7 days. Then he goes back to get the shot. He has done everything to help the pain that he is suppost to do  but nothing seems to help. Anyone got any ideals what he can do to help the pain. I think he would try anything right now.

do they know exactly what is wrong with his back? There could be many reasons why his back hurts and a few of those nothing will be able to stop the pain. only thing I know if for now is that he can try to lay flat on his back put a pillow under his lower back so that it is supported. Want his back as level as you can get it.

My dad actually had two back surgeries in the past 15 years, most recently two years ago. He is still unable to work any physical labor, which hurts immensely because his degree is in restaurant management, and he was a landlord previously as well. Unfortunately he has not found anything that ha brought long-term relief.
