Talk to your doctor.  Most places offer classes to educate you about the changes you need to make with your diet and the type of medication you will be using.

This is not the place to be asking a question like that. How do you even know you are diabetic or are you guessing/diagnosing yourself? The reason I ask is if a doctor has run tests and has told you that you are diabetic, then they certainly would have given you info on what to do and not just sent you out the door! This is a very serious and potentially life-threatening disease and nothing to play around with. If you did see a doctor and they did not give you info on what you need to do, I would go see someone else because they are not doing their 'job', period.

I agree this is not really the place to ask such a question due to the effects it could have.  You seriously need to talk to your doctor and they give you all the advice you need to know.  You have several things that will change rapidly in your life if you are diabeteic and which type you have depends on it also.  Call your doctor they will give you all you need to know.  Good luck and hope all stays well.
