yet another ebay problem..

ok so i bought a linksys router from someone on ebay..
it costs me 25 dollars which i paid about monday of last weekthe 15th..it is now wednesday the 24th, so that like 8 days after i paid for it..
the seller told me he sent it the day i paid for it so that will be on the same monday as well..
the problem is.. i havent recieved it!!
he sent it out in supposedly 2-day parcel service from USPS..
he lives in texas and i live in illinois..
should i be worried that it has not arrived yet, or is this normal? seeing as the distance is quite far..
i emailed him saying i havent recieved anything but he said that it should have arrived by now because it was 2-day parcel.. but nothing yet..,

what shoulkd i do?
am i just over reacting? and it will come soon?
if not, when should i open a "never recieved item" claim against him..?

btw, he never gave me a tracking number,,

I would email the guy again and see if he has a tracking number for the package and try and track it yourself. Some sellers on Ebay have poor practices (I speak from experience), so always check the ratings for the sellers. I never buy from a seller if they are less than 100%, that way I am assured I won't get screwed. I never trust ANY seller from China, most of those sellers are scam artists. Chances are the seller you bought the item from may have sent your parcel parcel post not 2 day priority mail. Give it a couple more days and if it hasnt arrived by then contact the seller and let them know your concerns. If the package does arrive, check the post date to see when the seller really mailed the package. If all else fails file a claim through paypal to get your money back and stay away from that seller.

I wouldn't necessarily only buy from 100% feedback sellers, jeez.  I sell stuff on e-bay from time to time, and through no fault of my own got one bad feedback from a crazy lady that will tarnish my profile forever.  It doesn't affect my % anymore, but I don't think it ever goes off your profile because it's been like 2 years.  And I'm still bitter about it...lol.

It sometimes happens... idk why but sometimes the shipping company keeps the item on hold ffor  a few days or weeks sometimes. It happen to me when i bought something from ebay....


It took about 1month for me to receive it =

I think there should always be a tracking number...all the things i bought from ebay i always had a tracking number. I think u should be a little worried..if u never get ur item ask for a refund. I think u can get help through ebay

i sell an buy constantly. some products arrive within 48 hours, some over 30 days. i believe you have 45 days to file a claim, so be a little patient although it can be frustrating when your looking forward to receiving an item purchased. sometimes it is delays with the postal service.

i did read someone suggested to get a tracking numb if possible. but most likely with an item this inexpensive there won't be one.

Did he give you a delivery confirmation number?  If not, then you can go to resolution in paypal that will take care of it for you.

If you email him, and he keeps telling you he's sent it, but you receive nothing, and/or he starts ignoring you...you can file a dispute through paypal..Paypals rules state that EVERY SELLER MUST GIVE THE BUYER A CONFIRMATION/TRACKING NUMBER of EVERY item sold..I learned this the hard way!  You WILL win the dispute because of this, and they will give you your money back.  In the future tell the seller you want a confirmation number and check their feedback, always!

i have opened a dispute yeserday. hopefully i get my
moneey back or the package cuz still nithing

the good thing about all the protection offered, they buyer is always in the right if they don't receive a package, even if you don't buy insurance etc.

i know for 100% fact because one of my sold items never made it to the buyer, it was in fact stolen in transit and i had to reimburse the buyer since they never received it
