I really don't understand how this proves what you're saying. Where's your research and sources?

I don't believe in either.  I tend to just think we exist, then we're worm food.  It would be nice if I was wrong.

I don't have enough evidence to believe it's real or unreal. The bible was written by another human being...why should I take their word for it?

I was told by a Jehovah witness there is no hell stated in the bible. Just that the fallen angel fell to earth.

Well, I believe that there is a Heaven and there is a Hell. To deny that is to deny that the holy bible is wrong. I have seen television programs that talk about both. Hell is a real place I believe because there are places on this earth that are gates to Hell, and even though I have not been to the Gates of Hell, I do not deny that there is such a thing.

How do we know that the bible isn't just ancient fiction?  We don't "KNOW" that it's real.  Nobody here today "KNOWS" that for certain.  They might believe that it's real with all of their heart and ever cell of their being, but that don't make it so.

Anyone who studies ancient religions will know that the stories are mostly fiction. That or they've been ridiculously romanticized to the point where it's impossible to know the true story. Without a doubt this includes christianity and all of the mythological contexts it brings forward.

Precisely. But this is always the reasoning behind believing it-- because believers take the emotion > intelligence route. Stick on this part of the forum long enough and you'll see this a lot.

Well what is hell anyway? Is it a place of torment that requires you to live forever? Or is it just the common grave of mankind? The latter sounds more reasonable since eternal life is a blessing from God not a curse not to mention the word doesn't come from the Greek, Hebrew or Aramaic but from Latin.

As for Satan(who i'm unsure is or was an angel since I believe the word means messenger) consider the verse below.

Heaven is real and the lord is looking upon all his belongings here on earth now hell is already here on earth .
