Hello Flor!
Haven't seen you in the chatroom, so I guess this is what you been up to...LOL   ;D
Well, I haven't really thought about Christmas lately, I am usually a "take it one day at a time" girl...but it has crossed my mind a couple of times. To answer your questions:
My plans for Christmas, like every year is to have a better Christmas than the last one! I always plan for snow, but that doesn't go as planned to often as I would like...LOL
Do I play any Christmas games?......Well, I haven't done that since I was in 11th grade and went to "Cheer Parties", when I was a cheerleader and we played that game you described, or it was similar like where everyone had to buy the other something, or someone would donate their gift to some local charity. Since then, all I do is listen to Christmas songs over and over around the Holidays. Does that count?   ;D
Shopping? I try to shop everyday when I have the chance! When it comes to shopping and me...there is no beginning and end...LOL   ;D
Well, that's it for now....Now you got me thinking of Christmas all day, thanks girl!
Hope to see ya in the chatroom soon!   :peace:

I was amazed to see Christmas items for sale in August. I remember when... they used to put it all out after Halloween.

I had a friend who bought the $1 scratch off tickets and hung them up on the tree bought enough so every one would get 2 to 5 depending on cash flow that year they would draw numbers and one at a time would go get a ticket off of the tree till they were all gone.

We generally do the grab with $20 gifts.
We also have everybdy bring two $2 scratch tickets and we divide them out, and if anyone wins $500 or more we divide it up. Otherwise, you keep what you win ($1, $2, $5, $10 $20 $40 or $100) should you win anything.

:angel11: I've heard, of this game before, I think I've played it not sure. People do this at work too, when they have their Christmas Parties.... sounds good maybe I will suggest it to the family this year.

I AM ALWAYS SO UNPREPARED FOR CHRISTMAS. I HAVE A PLAN TO START DOING SHOPPING THROUGH OUT THE YEAR SO THAT COME CHRISTMAS, I WILL HAVE ALL MY MAIN SHOPPING OUT OF THE WAY. I ALWAYS GET SO DEPRESSED CHRISTMAS TIME. I FEEL LIKE A GRINCH BUT I DON'T SHOW IT FOR THE SAKE OF MY CHILDREN. IT IS A LITTLE TRICKY CAUSE MY THREE OLDER ONES KNOWS ABOUT THE WHOLE SANTA THING AND MY THREE YOUNGER ONES DON'T. I HAVE TO KEEP REMINDING MY THREE OLDER ONES NOT TO REVEAL THEIR INFORMATION TO MY THREE YOUNGER ONES. I DECORATE EVERY YEAR WITH MY CHILDREN BECAUSE IT MAKES THEM SO HAPPY TO SEE ALL THE LIGHTS AND TREE SET UP FOR CHRISTMAS.

We have done this a couple of years ago with the picking names it was fun :)

1. I am spending Christmas with my Hubby and my babies enjoying each other..
2.My kids like guess that christmas song.. lol we play every year and we hide gifts and give clues..and have numbered candy canes with special gifts you recieve for finding them..Also a old german tradition hide the pickle it is a ornament shaped like a pickle and who ever finds it gets a special treat
3. I usually start in August but may start later this year due to school starting so early here

So like a scavanger hunt on christmas that sounds good... I might have to steal that one :) ..... any more details you can give me on this game plz :)

Sure you can use anything..But the ones with numbers I will have a little homemade box with cookies in it for one number I usually do three numbers
one will be a gift card..And one will be a stuffed animal ..The ornament I hide it deep in the tree or somewhere in the house and who ever finds gets a gift or money or whatever I come up with lmao. The gift one is my favorite we even make up silly clues hide a few gifts in really weird places lol

LOL weird place like?

LMAO there are so many weird places one year we hid it in the dishwasher..The dogs bowl...In a tree outside..The funniest is when I hid it in the meat drawer of the fridge needless to say my kids did not find it till lunch the next day LMAO..

I love Christmas, but its been pretty dreary in the past 2 years because of a lack of finances.  I can't afford to spend money on gifts when bills have to be paid.

Its unbelievable that some stores had Christmas items on shelves in August.  The stores are starting earlier each year advertising their products.
