If the US doesn't start doing more to stimulate manufacturing and the creation of goods, rather than services, we're going to be stuck in a rut for quite a long time.

We've had an overwhelmingly predominant service industry economy for decades and done just fine.  Markets have their ups and downs -- it's part of the game.

I do think that it will be a little longer than six months as companies will restructure their hiring procedures and move forward cautiously with hiring practices. But I truly believe that things are starting to turn around.

that the recession is pretty much over

its now bak to recovery mode

for just go onthat page and u will see wat i am talking about

o and for those of u looking for a job

instead of just looking online

I have followed this for a while now and can tell youthat it is not expected to even level off (stop increasing) for about another 12 months. Unemployment is expected t reach anywhere between 11 and 20 percent

I certainly do not expect this economy to improve until late 2010. Being unemployed myself everything is so difficult. I have been applying for jobs for the past 8 months and had no luck. Two jobs that I applied to actually laid off employee approximately 2 months after I submitted my application. Everyday more and more individuals are loosing their jobs. It is really sad.

goverment likes to make things seems ok they say ohio thats where i live has an unemployment rate of 9-10% but when you actually look it up online it more like 13% we have cities in ohio with 16% rates ive cooked for most my life havent done much else did a little construction but yeah everyone wants exp workers cant give a hardworker like me a chance its frustrating i havent really applied myself so really my fault kind of gave up short but its discouraging at times wondering about things i mean im already 26 no job no saving nothing just debt what the hell i have to look forward to a jobless world thats just going to get worse wars wars and more wars a president who wants americans to pay for the well being of foreign countries who wants to tax us for water and other natural resources this country is suppose to be a prosperious country the land of the free land of the rich but when in fact as long as we are all in debt the gov and banks will never go broke nobody really cares if we starve or cant pay are bills i mean it sounded real good on tv when you heard yes we can and we need change and all the hogwash they feel are heads with but when it comes down to getting things down this country doesnt work for the people they work for their greedy selves they become rich and live glorious lives while the people who supported and believed them and paid them to be in power starve while we sit there and cry because were so overwhelmed with stress and not knowing how were going to pay for this that and the other gov needs to be charged for high treason banks need to quit using the tax payers money to right their wrongs and pay their hi co's million dollar bonuses the president needs to be impeached for being a fraud and the people of the united stated need to stand up and demand to being taken care of we dont need free things but if you work hard pay your taxes and a law abiding citizen why let all that hard work just float away why not demand what you deserve by the time im ready to retire there will be no ss money the gov will be in so much debt be no available money look it ups they are running out of funds to pay retirees i will be still enslaved to hard laborer by the great politicans who run our great country sad sad day we have nothing to look forward to but making the rich richer by our hard work congrats

Change will only come with force.  "Force, my friends, is violence. The supreme authority from which all other authority is derived. Naked force has resolved more issues throughout history than any other factor, and the contrary opinion that violence never solves anything, is wishful thinking at its worst. People who forget that always pay with their lives and their freedom." - Robert A. Heinlein

Everyone needs to educate themselves about making money online,
then we can all run our own businesses at home, and say forget the workforce
world.

Do you see the unemployment rate dropping in the next 6 months?
I don't think so because there are more people unemployed now.  Even though more jobs available will not cure sooner then 6 months.

It is funny this is a topic on here considering the reason we are all on here is to make up for lost wages at work.
