I'm not sure if there are any worthwhile work at home programs that are free. I do FC and a few other sites for spending money, but it's not enough to earn a living from. Unfortunately it is so hard to find legitimate sites; everybody is looking for way to scam decent people who try to earn a living honestly.

I definitely feel for you, I couldn't imagine struggling with unemployment, as me and my fiance are struggling even though we both have jobs!  Do what you can to bring in the $$ and definitely apply for help from social services, they can give you lots of help while you're getting back on your feet.
