i think it depends on what is going on.  I like to actually talk to people ( a lot ) and i call people especially when i really wanna chat about something or vent.  I prefer e-mail for business/work and information type things.
i text my god-daughter because that is the communcation that works well for her "teenage" age group

I also like to write old fashioned snail mail for those that are otherwise connected to me electronically (grandma doesn't have a cell or a computer, etc)

I Use so many, and have so many.

I have AIM, MSN, Yahoo, Google Talk, Skype

E-Mail, Phone, Text, Video

FaceBook, rarely use MySpace anymore.

Mine is still mostly old telephone too.  However, I do use e-mail quite a bit.  With then kids I text alot.  I kind of hate voice mail and keeping up with messages.

I hate talking on the phone for the most part so I prefer email or text once in a while.

facebook, text, email.  phone is for immediate stuff or longer necessary conversations at this point.  if I have to use IM, I use trillian.
