I'm new at this site (as of today) and am finding it pretty tough to meet the 25$ limit. Can anyone give me some pointers or anything on how to make some more money?

There are many high paying offers which you can do which will help you reach the $25.00 cashout amount.  However, if you do not want to purchase anything, or do a trial, you still can get to that $25.00, but it will just take a little more time and patience.

The best way to make money here is through referrals.  You receive $1.00 for each unique referral who validates their e-mail address after signing up, and then another $2.00 once he/she complete their first offer.  Once they reach $25.00, they cashout and are approved, you will recieve $5.00 for their cashout, and will continue to recieve $5.00 each time they successfully cashout - for life.  Just remember, these are considered bonuses, and you need at least $15.00 in offers to cashout.

Other bonuses you can get are posting here in the forum.  You can recieve $3.00 for 30 contributory posts in a calendar month.  Check out the thread in the Contests/Promotions page for more info on this and for other bonus offers.  You can also receive a bonus for making a high score in the featured flash game, found onder the Daily PTC offer page.  Currently that is $0.75.

As far as offers go, just try and complete the daily offers each day.  Sometimes you won't meet the demographics for a survey and won't qualify.  But, you can come back later in the day and try again as they sometimes add new surveys.  You potentially can earn $1.90 a day for the dailies if you can successfully complete the surveys and PTC.  Also, they regularly add new free offers.  Make sure to check the "Free/No CC" offers page each day for any new ones you may want to do.

Daily offers, daily offers, daily offers.
As the above said, you won't always qualify but make sure you sign on daily to at least try. 

If you have time to putter around the site, sign up for the free offers that interest you.  $.25/75 etc. may not seem like a lot but a few dollars daily combined with the daily offers adds up to $25 faster than you'd think.
