I wear glasses. I never could put anything in my eyes. Even eye drops...I have this horrible fear. Even as a kid, if I would get something in my eye, I'd freak.

DOES ANYBODY WEAR CONTACTS OR EYEGLASSES OR MAYBE BOTH LIKE MYSELF. DUE TO HAVING CONTACTS DISPOSABLE, WE HAVE TO BUY THEM EVERY OTHER MONTH OR SO BUT WITH EYE GLASSES, WE JUST HAVE TO KEEP THEM IN GOOD CONDITION UNTIL OUR WARRANTY IS UP.

HAVE ANYBODY HAVE THEIR EYE BURN FROM THE DISINFECTED SOLUTIONS FROM USING THE CONTACTS?
I wear contacts also but I have never had the solution burn my eyes. Maybe you should try to use a different solution, I have always used Complete Mutli-purpose solution. I have the bottle in front of me and it says for effective disinfection and comfort.

I wear both. I've had glasses for over 10 years, and for about 9 of them I've also worn contacts. I used to only wear contacts during my school years, but lately my eyes have become more sensitive, so I wear contacts when I have to go out (the sun and all... I love being able to wear sunglasses) and glasses as soon as I'm in for the night/when I'm just lounging around the house. Contacts get pretty expensive, especially if you wear them all the time. I don't mind wearing glasses, I'm not one who thinks they detract from someone's looks (I know a lot of people think glasses = ugly nerd. Pfft.) I do agree that contacts are just more convenient sometimes, though, so I always have a pair or two of disposables handy.

I don't recommend giving into the allure of swimming with contacts in, though! It might seem like a good idea, you can actually see and swim at the same time, but nine times out of ten, if you forget and open your eyes underwater -- bye, bye contacts!

I prefer contacts.  I wear both though.  I wear my contacts during the day and my glasses at night.  I've been wearing glasses since I was 7 (27 years) and my vision had gotten so bad that my glasses left a permanent imprint on my nose (glasses were really thick)!.  Now they have the feather weight glasses (thank goodness).

I agree, this is one of the downsides of wearing contacts.  But the pros definitely outweigh the cons with contacts.

I wear a type of contact lenses that work while I sleep, then I take them out in the morning and have perfect vision all day!!  It's amazing!  They're called CRT lenses for Corneal Refractive Therapy (Paragon CRT is one of the brands).  I love having perfect vision without having any of the issues common to contact lens wearers or eyeglasses!!  I really think if Paragon advertised a little, their sales would go through the roof because their product is wonderful!!

I like wearing glasses when I'm not doing anything that requires really sharp eyes, however, I need contacts to see the professors write stuff on the board and for driving.  I feel like with contacts I can see better.  As for the solutions, mine never burn.  I use the one with the green bottle and a splash of red on the box.  Can't recall the brand name though.
