UNCLOG THE MESS.
« on: January 03, 2010, 03:19:42 pm »
Oh the dredded clogged bathroom sink then once youv'e cleaned out that then you find the tub is stopped up or some other drain in the house right..
Well good for you I know something that works to fix it every time all you have to do is have the following things salt. baking soda. A bottle of vinegar.a pot of  boiling hot water and patience..this is a very inexpensive way to unclog your drains throughout the house so here goes..first put on a big pot of water to boil then mix eqaul parts of the baking soda and the salt together it can be a cup of each then make sure you get enough of this into the drain dry use small amouts of the vinegar to help aid in the process DO NOT POUR ALL THE VINEGAR ONTO A SMALL AMOUNT..use it to help the salt disolve into the drain yes it will bubble but that's a good thing so get this full amount of mixture into the drain it might take a minute but have what ?  PATIENCE.. it will get there then take that pot of water you have and pour it down the drain..simple  now you wait up to a half an hour before using any of the faucets in the home so be sure to pick a day or time you know that this can be done without hurting the family maybe you can also try this trick during the middle of the night while everyone is asleep and your wanting a late night snack like icecream  I hope this helps many of you and saves you lots of money..let me know if it was helpful to you if you like..

I think that the good old fashioned plunger works the best but at times you might need a "snake" -

Sounds like a great idea.  I will try it and see what results I get.  The plunger doesn't work for me and buying expensive drain openers  hasn't worked either. Thanks for the info.

I just tried this last week.  Not sure if it worked or not because I haven't been home to test it.

Thanks for mentioning this.  It is a natural and inexpensive way to unclog a drain.  It may depend on what type of clog you have or how bad it is.  I tried this in the past, and it did not seem to work real well.  I bought a liquid drain cleaner at the dollar store and it worked very well.  There is no reason to buy expensive drain cleaners, especially since you are literally just pouring stuff you bought down the drain.
