Black Friday Shopping?

I went shopping twice in my entire life on Black Friday.  I have had more luck shopping online.  The deals are there too but I guess people like to have their purchases in-hand.  I purchased a 37" flatscreen online a while back.  We had gone to the stores and all their advertised deals for the flatscreens were GONE.  Came home, went online, bought it for the same price plus about $30 shipping.  Nice thing was we didn't have to lug the huge box out to our truck, load it in and worry about it getting damaged on the way home. It arrived at our house Monday or Tuesday and the delivery guy brought it into our house.

Plus, at the stores, there are so many crazy & rude people and the lines are way too long.  And forget about bringing kids!

After all that, I was totally swayed away from the crowded stores of Black Friday.  Never again.  As for Cyber Monday?  I find bargains during that whole sales weekend and even AFTERWARDS.  When sales are down during the holidays, all stores seem to offer great deals all the way up to Christmas.  Free shipping, percent off, free items with purchase ... you get the idea.

If you can do it, online is the way to go.  Just preview the newspaper inserts, sales emails or commercials prior to shopping and be prepared with your stock numbers so you don't spend too much time searching.  And if you have kids to lug around, online is the only way to go.

I didn't get out. I am going to go the day after Christmas though! I am really exicited about that~
