Title: Universal Studios Rides
Post by: Cbsteffen on May 08, 2017, 02:10:01 pm
What was your favorite ride at Universal Studios theme parks that is no longer there? What is your favorite current ride at Universal Studios? I've been to Universal Studios Florida but not Hollywood. My favorite ride was Hanna-Barbera because I enjoyed the sound studio afterward. I'm sure anybody who went to either Universal theme park in the 1990s and/or 2000s up until 2007 would say Back to the Future the Ride was his or her favorite ride when it was available. I'm not crazy about the Simpsons Ride because I never have been a big fan of The Simpsons.

I haven't been to Universal Studios in years -- the one here in So Cal.
I used to like the Waterworld Show & the Back Draft show.    They never had too many rides there... I recall the ET ride which was pretty cute.

I might be going to Universal Studios in the next couple weeks, I'd like to experience the Harry Potter themed areas :)

I've never been to Universal Studios. I've always wanted to go there as a kid.

I haven't been to Universal Studios in Florida since sometime in the 1990's. I used to like the Ghostbusters thing. That was always fun,

I've only been there once and it was just four months ago, so I cannot comment on a favorite ride that is no longer there. Of those that we rode, I think I would have to say the Simpsons was my favorite.  But that's primarily because my wife rode it with us.  She has back and fear issues that prevent her from riding anything but the tamest and smallest roller coasters so she never experiences the thrill rides with the rest of us (and we go QUITE often as a family to the best collection of coasters in the world).

She rode the Simpsons ride and really enjoyed it.  Even though it is almost all done visually with the screen, it still has some of the same perception of being on a coaster.  Just for my own 'catch a thrill' experience, I would go with the Hulk or the Harry Potter inverted coaster (forget the name), but for overall favorite - it had to be enjoying the next best thing with my wife rather than without her.

And an honorable mention to the Cat in the Hat ride - very tame, but lots of cool effects very true to the original story and artwork.

Are Universal Studios in Disney World parks?
  Where are these rides located?

Universal Studios Florida is in Orlando and is not a division of or right next to Disney World. Universal Studios Hollywood is in Los Angeles.
