Black Friday Plans
« on: November 18, 2009, 09:29:34 pm »
So who is actually going to wait in one of those horrendous lines?  I have to work, my store opens at midnight (actually the whole mall does-Midnight Madness they're calling it) its going to be a zoo, so I am planning to shop the sales online before I go to work at 7am.

Oh man... I do not miss retail one bit! I worked for a toy store a couple of winters and it was hell. I don't like being bumper to bumper with the crowds, but sometimes the prices are too hard to pass up. I may, I'm just not sure yet.

I always plan on going, but never do it. This year, however, I think I really will.

Staying home away from the madness. I realized last year that the Black Friday sales are not worth the aggravation. The stores usually keep having deals and specials right up until Christmas Eve. I will always do the after Christmas sale. I'm a sucker for the gift sets at 50% off.

I have a baby and a 3 years old child I am not willing go in cold weather staying in lines just to go or for nothing if I find good deal I would go just to pick that item and leave not for shopping around

Being a Mother of 6 kids, I take advantage of every sale I can!  Last year they really didn't have too much worth fighting over, but I went, got what I needed and got the heck out of there quick!  It really all depends on what I see in the ads.  I have heard that most places are having the BEST buys online this year.  Mainly because of all the problems and people getting hurt in the stores.  Last year at Walmart some guy got ran over by a car here, and at Shopko there was an all out fist fight over a dvd player between two guys!!  Dumb if you ask me, neither one of them ended up with it.  Also my sister accidentally got smacked in the face by some chick trying to stop the crowd from going in the doors because her Mother was going to lose her spot (she had went to get something from her car).  {Some people's children!! Ha ha ha}

We have gone out three times on Black Friday, and dind't find it all that bad.  The worst lines I can remember were at Best Buy and Circuit City.

We probably won't be going this year.  My wife has to work on Friday, so getting up and going that early is a bit prohibitive.  I might get up early and see what can be had online.  I have noticed the last few years the bigger presence of Black Friday at online sites/retailers, which is a good thing.  :thumbsup:

i love black friday sales! luckily i live in a small town so there aren't huge lines. usually i can get in and out and be home in time to make breakfast before everyone else gets up.

This is a good idea to boost the economy, I was out shopping last night, and the lines were not so horrendous. I think this is a good way to get people to spend and get the economy boosted, I just pray people know their limits when it comes to what they can spend, but if their are deals out their then we can save money.
