This isn't a religious debate... I happen to be a Christian myself but am able to look at other peoples point of views and form my own as well. I'm a very independent thinker. I hold my ties to my roots in Christianity without closing my mind to new incites.

I don't believe the world is going to end on December 21st, 2012. According to some it does mark a date however. It marks the date of the start of something that could shake up this whole world. I keep saying this to everyone I know who is worried.  The calendar ran out, or they just didn't have time to finish it.  The ancients Myans did just disappear right? So who is to say they didn't disappear and not get to finish?  Maybe there isn't enough room on the wheel?  Lots of stuff that was founded on history has been found out later to be not-so-accurate.  Maybe there was another calendar that continues on but it is lost in time, or was destroyed.  Maybe they were tired of working on the calendar, or maybe they just wanted to F*** with future people like "Hey lets make a big calendar wheel, but it will be fake, we will pick some really futuristic year and if people are still alive, they will totally think that the end of the calendar means the end of time and the world!  OMG! Wouldn't that be great! Lets do it man!"  And yes, they said O-M-G. 

Anyway, I have things that have to be done today, and tomorrow, and work, school, goals, pets, things I enjoy.  I don't know what I am supposed to do about it if the world is going to end anyway, so I guess I will worry about it when the time comes.  Plus I celebrate the seasons so I will be celebrating the winter solstice or Yule, on Dec. 21, 2012, so whatever.

All my boyfriend does is talk about is 2012. I keep saying the world wont end. The current mayan have said that life will continue after 2012, it just means a new way of life. NOT the end of the world. Watch the history channel.

Everyone is making such a hype out of it. I'm sure someone will insure that they make sure something happens 12/12/12. Even if it weren't supposed to; someone will make it, I'm sure.
