You can read books, newspapers, entertainment, documentaries to name a few.  You can download 1,500 books on the Kindle 2  digital eReader which is 6".  There is also the Kindle DX that you can load 3,500 books etc on which is 9.7" .

This is offered by Amazon.  Other stores carries the eReaders manufactured by Sony and others.

Never heard of one. I would rather just pick up a book or newspaper though.

I have heard of it before, what does something like that go for price wise.

The Kindle 2 is selling for $259.00 and the Kindle DX $489.00 - This one is a little too expensive for me.

A little too expensive unless you are a pure bred Yuppie that just has to have all the latest toys.

I have one and it is the best thing that I have ever bought.  I took a 9 hour flight from Israel and had 4 books saved on one device instead of carrying all those novels around.  It allows you to download samples of the books you may want to read, newspapers, magazines, blogs, etc.  Anything you buy is yours for life so if you delete it from the kindle, it will always be in your Amazon account.  It was the best money that I have spent in a long time.  And new hardcover books are usually $9.99 instead of the $40 you may pay at the store.

Thanks for the validation.  Because I am seriously thinking of buying the Kindle 2.  I am an avid reader and love books.  You are also right that you can get all paperbacks for $9.99 and some  are free to download at Amazon.

So it is a digital device that allows you to but and download digital books?  I am so far behind the times. I must say, I would miss the "feel" of a real book.
