Carpet cleaning
« on: July 10, 2023, 09:32:49 am »
As it turns out, in today's world there are homes that still use carpets and our company has to clean them. What are some good products for this purpose that you can recommend?

I think homes will always have carpet in them because some people prefer carpet.  As for cleaning, I have a carpet shampooer and clean my own carpet.

Good Topic!  Just got a carpet shampoo machine and have used several products in it to date.  Best is to pre treat with one of the below homemade mixtures, then any carpet shampoo product will pick it up for you.

  First :

The Best Carpet Spotting Solution

Here’s the formula for our Cleaning Solution

– 6 oz Hydrogen Peroxide (3% solution- using a brown bottle from a drug store)
– 2 oz Dawn Dish Soap (blue-original formula)
It’s a 3-to-1 ratio.

Another:

White Distilled Vinegar (5% acidity)
Baking Soda
Hydrogen Peroxide
Scrub Pad

Some companies are removing all carpeted floors and replacing them with solid floors that can be swept and mopped because complaints about solid carpets. Carpets are difficult to clean and disinfect because they trap dust, mud, bed bugs, ticks and much more. Making carpets very unsanitary and difficult to clean and disinfect.

How long do you wait between cleanings? We don't have kids or pets and have yet to have them cleaned (other than vacuumed) since we moved here six years ago.

I agree that some houses will always have carpet.  I prefer carpet in the bedroom because when I get up I want to feel something soft under my feet.  I also have my own carpet shampooer and clean my own carpet.

Since I live in the United States I have no clue how much £150 is.
