Are you ready for the holidays?
« on: December 13, 2022, 11:22:45 am »
I am having trouble this year, it seems like a step forward and 2 steps back.  So many of the family are sick or are having to quarrantine.  Hopefully it will be all done now so that next week will be  lots of fun.

It's already been fun for us.
In addition to family, we have been to two parties with long time friends and great food.
With today's communications, the miles between our family members are able to be overcome in a few seconds just by pushing a few buttons.

I am certainly not ready yet. We are having some financial problems right now. We are Praying that we get back on our feet so we can buy some more gifts.

Not ready yet - and so many more holiday parties this year than ever before. I love the socializing and conversations though.

A lot of people are having financial hardships this year.  Think outside of the box.  Maybe give a certificate for one home cooked Sunday dinner or a barbeque later on.  If you are very good at something give lessons  about it to someone.  Experiences are great, not just things!   In snowy areas maybe offer so many times of cleaning the sidewalks and driveway.  Be creative.

I have only one more present to buy and then I will be done.  I started shopping early this year and was able to finish most of my shopping early.

I love the socializing part too.  I think more people are starting to get back into having parties and get togethers than they did the last couple of years.

I guess I'm' ready. I really don't' care about the holidays. Well, I care about the religious part, but not the rest. Too many deaths in my family.
