I think it is much more accurate to say that a man will treat his wife in a similar way that his father treated his mother. And if there was no father in the home, then the son is more likely to become an absent father/sperm donor himself.

I'm not sure I agree with this statement either.  My son-in-law tolerates his mother because she is so needy and demanding.  He treats my daughter very well and treats me better than his own mother.

I think in most circumstances, this is true. My husband was very respectful to his mother and is very respectful to me and my mother and other family

This is pure poppycock. It would be closer to say that how a man treats other people in general is an indication of how he will treat other specific people in his life, because that is the kind of man he is. You need to watch more Halmark movies.

No.  Some men are mama's boys and treat their mothers better than their wives or girlfriends.

I think after thinking about it I agree it is how they treat everyone.  My husband treats me great as he did his Mother.  But he is also well liked  by everyone because he treats everyone great...kids, adults, customers, friends!  He is one of those people who has never met a stranger, after just a few minutes they are on the way to becoming good acquaintances or friends.
