What do you all think happens when we die?

Ever person has a soul, and it is the condition of that soul that determines whether you will spend an eternity enjoying the streets of gold, or the torments of hell. If one believes that Jesus Christ died on a cross for them personally and took away all their sins, and that he experienced hell for you and rose from it the third day and is in heaven preparing a place for them ( truly with all their heart, not just through the good times) then your soul, you, will spend an eternity in heaven with all the other saved people of the world, no longer experiencing hate, hurt, fear, etc. I'm going to heaven I will see my brother there, my grandparents, Moses, and most importantly I will worship at the feet of Jesus. I think this is wonderful I just came across this question, I just finished typing this up in my Bible Study class I post. Read 2 Thessalonians chapter 2. This is truth and we have the answers, it is up to you whether you will accept truth or not. God tells us exactly what happens. Jesus comes for the believers who are dead in Christ, then those who are here still living, Jesus comes and gets. Those that believe. If not the Bible clearly tells what happens also. It will not be good for those who do not believe in the Day of the Lord. This is truth. I know absolutely 100 %. God tells us everything. all we got to do is listen. We can not work for it, or earn it. We have to put our trust in God.

Isn't that the truth!!!! My mom is dying right now of cancer and that is what she is dealing with on her death bed!!! Its F**KED UP!!

I think we should all join in prayer for this mom. What do you all think ?

Can't wait to see the power of God and get her off that bed and see who gets what.

Father God  " I ask that this lady heals completely so her family can see Your power and stop fighting for material things. May her children learn to love each other and learn to appreciate their mother and start praying for her health.  May they have a testimony to share with the whole world. AMEN ! "

It all depends on how you've lived your life and what you truly believe in. Believe in Jesus Christ and you'll get to the right place. That's all you really need to know.

So I can live my life to age 75 doing amazing amounts of great works -- community service, fighting for racial and social equality of others, donating to charities, funding research for horrible illnesses, bringing awareness to suffering around the world.  But if I don't believe in a rebellious Jew who simply challenged the status quo and payed the price for it I will be tortured and burn for all eternity?  And I'm supposed to want to spend all eternity with a being that would subject people to that?  No thanks.

Reincarnation. That's what I'm hoping anyway. If you've noticed there are a lot more endangered species out there, and a lot more people. Lol maybe before reincarnation they let everyone choose what they want to be and all the animals were asking to be humans. Remember to choose something good!

Hats off to you mother of five! Children are truly a blessing and you are to be commended for your job. I am a mother of three and as mothers we wear many hats.

I firmly believe that how we live on this earth will determine where we go when we die. The Bible says that it is appointed once on this earth for man to die...and that we will return ...ashes to ashes and dust to dust. So this is inevitable. Also, everyone will live eternally--meaning forever. However, where we spend the rest of eternity depends on the choices we make in life. The number one choice that determines whether you will spend eternity in heaven is the choice to make Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior. He said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the father, but through me. Any man that comes any other way is a liar and a thief. This tells me that Jesus is the only way to God and to heaven. I know that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believeth on and in Him will have everlasting life. There is a place prepared for believers of Jesus Christ in heaven and your name is written down in the Lamb's Book of Life.



However, if you choose to reject Jesus, then your name is written down in a book--but this book just catalogs your life--and hell is your home. There is no nice way to put this. It is simply what it is. Scripture tells us that hell was created for the devil and his angels. God desires that we do not go to this place, but if we reject the gift He has given us to avoid this place--then to hell one will go. Yes, God is a God of love but He is also  a just God. Out of love, He provided a way for us to be with Him for eternity. If we choose not to accept this gift--hell will be your home.

I am more than aware that some do not believe in the Bible or Jesus. To those I say--can you afford to be wrong. What if there is a chance that you are incorrect in the way that you are living? Wouldn't you want to know? Simply opening your mouth and asking God to reveal Himself to you is so simple and could save you a life in hell.

If you want to accept the free gift of Jesus Christ...it is as simple as a poem

Jesus, You died upon a cross
And rose again to save the lost

What's with all these scared straight religions anyway?

I'm not about to start bashing on anyones beliefs but if you look into Pope Innocence and the doctrine of discovery and then consider all the genocidal acts that have taken place over the centuries sanctioned by this belief as well as other papal bulls.....well, I would be just a bit concerned about where I was going after this life too, ;0) lol.

There are more endangered species because mankind has completely raped the balance of nature across the entire globe.  There are more humans because we procreate more and have longer life spans than in the past.

I also don't think you're too familiar with the general concept of reincarnation -- you don't get to choose what you come back as.  What you reincarnate as is based on works in your past life and the level of spirituality you've achieved.

Once again, you're saying I can live my life to age 75 doing nothing but great works for others -- charity, fighting for equality, working to end illnesses killing millions, end injustices throughout the world -- but if I refrain from believing in a Jewish zombie I will burn and be tortured for all eternity?  Again, I'm really supposed to want to spend the eternity of my after life with such a "caring, loving, forgiving" being that subjects his own creations to that?  Who in their right mind would worship such a hypocritical, malevolent, manipulative *bleep*?

This is nothing but a rendition of Pascal's Wager, which has been torn to shreds by every philosopher and thinker for centuries.  It is, by far, one of the worst proposals for justifying a religious belief.

You wrongfully assume your choice is the correct choice.  You wrongfully assume your god/supernatural being is the only god/supernatural being.  You wrongfully assume it's a 50/50 shot at being correct.  You wrongfully assume your all-knowing god/supernatural being isn't going to see right through your veiled attempt at worshiping it -- you really think an omniscient being is going to overlook the fact that you believe just to be on the safe side?

Let me pose the same question to you:  What if you're wrong?  What if you're wrong about Allah?  What if you're wrong about the Greek gods and mythology?  What if you're wrong about the giant spaghetti monster who spends eternity strangling the people who didn't worship him with his noodly appendages?  What if you're wrong about everything?  What if there is a god that nobody has ever proposed or written a book about, and this god is the true being that decides what happens after you die?

It's not a 50/50 chance.  There is, for discussion purposes, an infinite amount of gods/supernatural beings that could be proposed and believed in.  It's plainly obvious that the odds I'm wrong are absolutely no worse than the odds that you're wrong.  The threats of you being wrong are the same threats I'm facing.  Nothing is different.

Simply opening your mouth and asking God to reveal Himself to you is so simple and could save you a life in hell.

I'm fairly certain thousands, perhaps millions, of people throughout history have proposed that god show himself.  Please do point me to where god revealed himself; it would make all this irrational junk much easier to believe.
