Still feel sad today cause of the texas shotting. Have 2 grandkids in grammer school. Remember when a couple of years ago my grandson had active shooter drills at his school. Thought is that really necessary, i guess it is. Heard today that the police took 40 minutes to enter the school dont know why. Also a little girl played dead putting blood from someone near her on herself. This is so unbelievable.

Its becoming an everyday part of life.

Still its quite sad especially to the victims and the family.

This world will get a lot worse cos of what God has told us.We can prepare in some ways but being in the wrong place at the wrong time can happen to anyone.

The bible holds out a hope God will bring an end to what this Satanic world is.The question we need to ask ourselves is are we willing to meet him halfway?

Many are ignorant and blinded by Satan and remember Jehovah can read our hearts and see who we really are.

I agree, this world is waxing worse and worse, just like the bible predicts. How sad and our children are suffering. I do wish people would turn back to God and strive for morality. I fear there is little desire in most to live a moral and biblical life. This is what we reap for ignoring what is right and wrong and spitting in God's face.

There were a lot of fishy things going on during that incident. The police weren't entering as soon as they got there because they were waiting for backup. Wrong!!

The parents were begging for the police to go in and when they didn't the parents were going to go in themselves. The police would not allow the parents to go in and held them back. So then they handcuffed one woman and tased some guy to try and control them.

Can you imagine how the parents felt hearing gunshots being fired while standing outside knowing their children were in there?

The shooter shot his grandmother in the face, stole her car and then crashed it. Then he walked to the school and easily entered because there was a door actually unlocked going into the school. What??? He told the kids in the classroom that they were going to die and then proceeded to kill them one by one as the others watched. I heard that there were one or two children who survived because they smeared blood on themselves and played dead. One good thing was that they had had training in active shooter situations and the teachers behaved rather heroically.

They were two days away from summer break. He killed 19 children and two teachers.

Can you believe that we have to routinely worry about these happenings now? This guy had posted on Facebook
some pretty crazy s-h-i-t.

His first post said he was going to shoot his grandmother. In a second post on Facebook, he said he had shot his grandmother. She survived and called 911, officials said.

Less than 15 minutes before arriving at the school, he posted: “I’m going to shoot an elementary school.” He obviously had a real mental problem that no one did anything about. Some radicals are surely happy because they can start blaming the gun for what happened so we can outlaw guns in order to prevent anything like this happening again. Gun control rules! Oh, really?? Then why does Chicago have so many shootings even though they've long been in a gun-free zone for like ever. Just ask Mayor Lightfoot.

So these things make us sad and angry. I'm hoping more measures will be put in place to prevent this from happening  in the first place or, if not, handled in a more expeditious manner. Much of this news was garnered from what I heard this morning on the radio from various sources and also from the internet so naturally it's probably not all gospel truth, but more than likely pretty close to the truth.

There is no reason for people to have ar-15.  They are made just to kill people.  They are not used for game hunting.  I have no problem with people having guns for hunting game, but not for hutong people.  I think the gun laws should be federal, the same for all the states.  We have a waiting period while they do a background check here.  The last 2 mass shootings in our state, the weapons were obtained the same day in a state that borders us.  They couldn't get them here but crossed the state line and got with no questions asked. If the person is flagged in one state, anywhere they go to get a gun that red flag should show up.

This is so upsetting.  Children can't go the school without being murdered and people can't go to church to worship without getting murdered.  What is this world coming to?

I'm surprised by your response. Guns are inanimate and they do not kill by themselves. AR-15s are not weapons of war. My bubble is burst because I thought you might be a common sense gun law person. I'm kinda disappointed, but to each his own. You're entitled to your opinion.

Plus there's plenty of time for you to change your mind.

My son's school has sent out emails about increased education and safety protocals put in for students.
