Should abortions be covered by tax dollars?

As a one time thing should we cover this service with tax dollars if you qualify under poverty or should we continue to pay for the birth, food and maybe housing?

I don`t support abortions at all, if anything it should only be adptions. Its better this way to have adptions only, then people that can`t have a child could have a chance to have one.

Woman have to pay for their own rape kits, I doubt they'll have abortions be covered by tax dollars.

I agree that there are too many people out there having children that shouldnt because they cant afford to properly take care of a child, but I dont think poverty will ever be a reason for the USA to foot an abortion bill.  I am pro-choice, but there are so many other issues that need to be addressed for welfare individuals before sex and children.

Absolutely 100% not!!! This is crazy, now we are going to pay to kill, we pay the taxes, wouldn't that make us murderers, I want no part in it. guess we will all have to go to jail for not paying taxes or be murderers if it comes down to this.

The only way I believe in abortion, if a woman/girl gets raped, they should be able to have one.  other that that, my opinion is that it is not a form of birth control.  u should take precautions if u do not want a baby.

Why not, our tax dollars goes to pay for other idiotic things that the corrupt politicians have decided on things that are not needed.  I do believe in abortions-its the womans decision and no one else.

  I would gladly sign a bill for raped mothers to have an abortion and we, my husband and I pay taxes on the bill. Although I would rather all people give away for adoption but that is my opinion and neither are wrong. I understand that in the long run a child might try to locate the mother and then it would just peel the scab off of an old wound. I think this topic is rather heart pulling and we as people should realize that people do things that not everyone likes. Does this mean the mother or us are wrong, NO. We all just have our own opinions on the subject.

I would rather pay for an abortion (No matter what the circumstances i.e. mother was raped, mother is too young and doesn't know what to do, mother can't afford baby etc), then to have to pay for a child that the parents didn't want or couldn't afford. At least with this I know where the money is going. I knew a lot of people on welfare, most of the time the money didn't even go towards the child like it should. So yes I'd rather pay for an abortion then pay for an unfit mother's new Prada bag, or car note.

What about when a women gets raped and gets pregnant because of it. She should be forced to have the baby and give it up for adoption and the child never knows her parents? Then one day her mom tells her she was raped and didn't want her.

Adption is better then  killing the child, i think they should make it a law that abortions  are aganist the law. Most of the time when adptions are done thats it unless you want something to do with the child. 5 years ago i gave up my child to Adption, so i have gone through it before. One of my friends has also gone through the raped thing and she waited till child  was born and gave to a family that couldn`t have one.

And where do you draw the line? 

Every step you take kills trillions of bacteria.  You eat food, I assume -- is that also "murder?"  If you're really protecting the "sanctity of life," you would attempt to walk or sit where there would realistically be the least amount of bacteria.  If you were protecting the "sanctity of life," you would eat as little as you possibly could to continue functioning.  If you were protecting the "sanctity of life," you wouldn't scratch your arm when it itches.  You would avoid getting your hair cut or shaving.  Your choice of clothing would be very limited.

The truth of the matter is you probably do absolutely none of this, and for what reasoning?

Of course the "god says not to."  Why?  "Oh, it has a soul!!!"  How do you reason twinning or chimeras in pregnancy then?  When does this soul enter?  Upon fertilization?  At what point in fertilization (fertilization is almost a 24 hour process)?  What happens to the huge number of eggs that go unfertilized and are just passed out through bodily functions (I hope I don't need to explain this)?  Do you think masturbation results in millions of murders; shouldn't basically every male in the world be convicted of mass murder?  What happens if a male doesn't ejaculate -- the sperm is reabsorbed by the body after a period of time...is this also murder?

The other truth of the matter is you've drawn an arbitrary line that has no logic behind it.
