First off UGP Jehovah can see the heart of us.The bible says he knows our heart better then we do.

You saw first hand from the evil-doer being executed with Jesus that Jesus saw he wanted TRUE forgivness and Jesus gave it to him.

You must always remember we inherited sin from A&E.The apostle Paul spoke of how frustrated he was cos when he wanted to do good, what was bad in him sometimes took over.

Jesus said there will be a resurrection of the righteous and the unrighteous. They will ALL be given a chance to hear the truth once Gods kingdom starts ruling the earth.

For us to receive eternal life be it in heaven or earth forever We must love God and obey him.He will set the rules/standards or we will be gone. Those commands can be found in the bible.

Jesus died once for all time to ransom mankind back from sin and to vindicate Jehovah is the rightful ruler of the universe.

Man doesnt live by bread alone.Your word is truth said Jesus RE his father.

Mankind has free will.Satans lie of mankind deciding for himself what was good and bad has been answered it doesnt work precisely why God allowed it to go on for 6000 yrs even tho thats only 6 days from Jehovahs timetable.

I wanna remind you again the bible says God created the earth to be inhabited and the righteous will live forever on it.

144000 go to heaven and rule as kings with Jesus,a small # compared to the billions that will live on earth.

Christendom has blinded many.Satan controls the political and religeous sytems on earth.Babylon the great will fall soon.

You wanna decide fro yourself what is good and bad thats up to you.Our lifes depend on if we are on Jesus side or we scatter as scripture says.

Since 1919 JWs sounding warning and truth about Bible truths.

Why do you think Babylon The Great is gonna get devoured? For 1000s of yrs in Gods name they have been teaching false doctrines, meddling in politics and wars and many other forms of worship that are NOT acceptable to God.

You make me laugh. You bring up the fact men are imperfect from the sexual scandals.

While Jehovah is certainly a God who forgives ,what Christendom has done for a longtime they deserve punishment from God and soon they will get it.

IT IS WRITTEN!!!!Satan and mankind are responsible for the misery/evil in this world.Jehovah will soon set the matter straight.GET OUT of Babylon the great if you dont wanna share with her sins.

That sums it up pretty well and NOT the way i interpet it.Its what the TRUE God has warned.

Christendom is going down the drain and that means ALL religeons.

Zeph 2:3 Seek Jehovah, seek righteousness, seek meekness. You may be concealed in the day of Jehovahs anger.

So getting things back on topic here (sorry for the diversion, cateyes1), what sorts of things are the rest of you giving up for Lent (and praying for and giving alms to)?

I have decided to give up all sweet foods for Lent (and then my wife bought me an amazing lemon blueberry muffin at our favorite coffee shop where we met for lunch yesterday)! I couldn't blame her as I often get one of those muffins there and they are fantastic. But we were meeting some other folks for lunch there, so I was able to give it to them to enjoy and maintain my Lenten sacrifice.

In addition to many other things on my prayer list, I am making a concerted effort to pray daily for two family members and the wife of a good friend of mine (she is a friend also, I just knew the husband much longer than her) all of whom have fallen away from the faith. Of course I am also praying for peace in Ukraine.

My wife and I have decided to contribute to the Annual Catholic Appeal in our Diocese. In years past, we weren't financially able to do this, but we have been blessed and have decided to take part. There are many charitable services that this appeal supports - all very good causes.

I ask for anyone who is so inclined to pray for me and for my Lenten intentions. I would be happy to return the favor should anyone else request!

Just a reminder, the scriptures and explanations are referenced supported by the bible,Gods word.

Math 11:25 I praise you, father,Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.
