Russia wants to reclaim all the territory they had before the downfall of their empire back in the 90s. He annexed Crimea in 1914 and on his way to taking back the Ukraine. That means all the little countries like Belarus, Kubecistan (honestly, don't know how to spell these countries), Uzbekistan, Kazbekistan, Moldova, Turkmenistan, Lithuania, Georgia, and 7 more countries. Putin is on a quest to bring these countries back under the Russian government. That would make Russia the largest country in the world. If allowed, it will only be a matter of time for the western countries to be overtaken, like WWII. Sanctions will not work. Right now, Biden is putting sanctions on banks that have already been sanctioned. He wants to stop the Nordstrom pipeline (a little late, don't you think, since he already took the sanctions/blocked this pipeline in the past) but I doubt Germany and the other western countries will allow him to do that now. I think Putin has Biden over a barrel and let's not forget that China is watching, who is the right hand of Russian cooperation. This is not good at all and Biden has no idea what to do.
A big mistake was sending Harris over there to speak on behalf of the U.S. She made no sense at all and the other countries in that meeting know it and just scratched their heads at what she was trying to say. What we have is a totally inept government and the rest of the world knows it.
