I think I do this so I give it a pass. It actually should be spelled with a "d" since that makes it easier to say.

alina6, you're talking about a spelling issue, not a grammar one.

That being said, I am also a spelling N-a-z-i [hyphenated for the censors who are on guard at FC)  . Misspelled billboards make me crazy at first, and then I laugh because it's so ludicrous. They pay people to make billboards. Who misspelled the words on there? Do they not get paid if it's misspelled,or maybe just deduct a small fee for the aggravation?

The word  AMBULANCE.     I hear amblance and other ways to say.

My older daughter could never say that word - and I am not talking as a young child. I am talking even as a teenager and young adult! She would try really hard to say it right, but it always came out AM-BLI-ANCE.

And isn't it kind of sweet and fun when they mispronounce things?  I kind of really liked hangeber, instead of hamburger, from my youngest son when he was really little.

Your remark then reminds ME of our younger daughter's excitement as a child of seeing a "hep-a-cher" flying in the sky. We live nearby the local hospital and those life-flight hepachers could be pretty loud flying over our house when bringing patients in and out!
